The role of the Engineering Academy in the strategic directions of the development of the republic was discussed on October 30 at a scientific and practical conference, which was held at the Engineering Academy of Tajikistan (IA RT) and was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence.
During the conference, an overview of the academy’s activities over 30 years of independence of the republic was made, as well as the most important achievements of the members of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, who contributed to the strategic directions of development: the introduction of scientific developments into production, inventive activity, the introduction of new engineering developments into the educational system and personnel training -specialists.
Members of the Academy at the event spoke about the prospects for the development of the aluminum industry, about the geophysical factors of the emergence of COVID-19, about methods of anti-seismic protection of buildings of architectural and historical significance of the republic, about modern methods of technical diagnostics of electrical equipment, about the achievements of mathematics and engineering in the Islamic world.
The work of the conference was then divided into six sections. The first discussed issues of environmental protection and use of natural resources. It talked about new technologies for using water resources, made recommendations for reforming a number of irrigation systems and creating an information system for accounting for irrigation water, ways to improve the water supply system in Dushanbe, and improving methods for monitoring the state of the environment, soil, water, and air.
In the energy section, the problems of solar energy in Tajikistan, the risks of the ongoing restructuring of the electric power industry in Tajikistan, and the creation of energy-efficient automated electric drives for production installations in the printing industry were discussed.
The materials science section examined the issues of creating new materials with specified physical and chemical properties to improve technological processes at production enterprises of the republic.
Engineering modeling in various industries was given attention in the fourth section. It was noted that this is important for the operation of machines and mechanisms, in the creation of earthquake-resistant building structures and structures, and for the automation of technological processes.
The fifth section was devoted to economic aspects in engineering activities, and the sixth was devoted to improving the engineering education system.
